My Story

My Scentsy story looks a little different today than it did the last time I shared it.

And honestly? That’s life.

In 2015, I clicked “join” on the very last day of June. What started as a love for warmers and fragrance turned into leadership, growth, friendships, travel, and eventually the courage to leave my 9–5 in 2021.

I spent years building a team I was so proud of. I promoted to Director — something I once only dreamed about. I experienced freedom in a way that changed me.

And then life shifted.

Health scares in our families brought Nathan and me back home to Ohio. We built a new house. We stepped into being closer to the people who needed us. And in May of 2025, I made the decision to go back to work.

I’m no longer a Director.

And that part was hard to say out loud at first.

Because when you’ve built something, grown something, led something… it can feel like you’re supposed to only move forward. Titles feel permanent when you’re in them.

But life doesn’t always move in straight lines.

What I’ve learned over these ten years is that seasons change — and that doesn’t erase what you built in the first place.

Scentsy is still part of my everyday life. It’s still in my home. It’s still extra income. It’s still friendships I treasure. It’s still something that belongs to me.

It just looks different right now.

And different doesn’t mean done.
Different doesn’t mean failure.
Different simply means growth in another direction.

I’m proud of the Director season.
I’m proud of the full-time season.
And I’m learning to be proud of this season too.

Ten years in, I’m still here. Still showing up. Still believing there’s more ahead.

Not because it’s perfect.
But because it’s mine.

And if you’re in a season that looks different than you expected — if you’ve had to pivot, step back, rebuild, or start again — you’re not behind. You’re not failing. You’re simply evolving. Sometimes the strongest thing we can do is stay in the room and keep going, even when the path changes.
